He must go, US House of Reps begins debate over impeaching Trump for a second time

Ahead of a final vote, members of the United States House of Representatives on Wednesday, January 13, gathered to begin debating an article of impeachment against President Donald Trump.

According to CBS News, lawmakers will debate the impeachment resolution for two hours, with time split between the Republicans and Democrats evenly to charge the American leader who has less than two weeks in office with “incitement of insurrection.” This is coming just one week after a mob of pro-Trump supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol in an attempt to intimidate lawmakers into reversing the November 2020 presidential election result.

It was gathered that the US lawmaker are of the opinion that the president “gravely endangered the security of the country and its institutions of government. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi speaking at the beginning of the debate said Trump must go as they know he incited this insurrection, adding that he is a clear and present danger to America. Meanwhile, at least six Republicans in Congress have started to break with the president, saying they will vote to impeach him.
